RE: Genset stops when toast pops up in toaster !!!!

You might have it backward. Maybe the toast is popping up when the generator goes off. Joking aside, try pulling the power cord on the toaster when it's running to see if it pops up on power failure. In any case, it's probably time to try another toaster. Borrow one from a neighbor for a test. Then put yours in their MH to see if it trips out their generator--- You were wright Kog, I have it backward, the toast were popping because the Genset was going off. I went to Onan Cummins repair facility today. They clean the brush and change the voltage regulator. The Genset is like new. Thanks everyonne for your input. :)

RE: Ford 460 - is it big enough

I have a 37 footer (with a 5.13 ratio) who weight 20 000 pounds. I must admit that a 460 stock (400 lbs/ft of torque) is under power for pulling such a motorhome. You must had a Banks Power Packs; by doing so you will gain 118 lbs/ of torque. With the Banks, the 460 is doing a great job. I'm very happy with it.

Genset stops when toast pops up in toaster !!!!

Hello Everyone, My Genset (Onan Emerald NHE 6500) runs great however for no apparent reason, it suddenly sotps. This has happened twice when using the toaster and the toast pops up. Today it was running good and then suddenly stop. The Genset is a 1997 model and it presently has 150 hours on it. Every year, I clean the carborator with Onan 4C and put Stabil in the gas during the winter months/for storage. I just changed the air filter, gas filter and the oil (10W30 Mobil 1). Th spark plugs are three years old and presently have 100 hours on them. I have cleaned the spark arrestor. Does anyone have any idea of what the problem(s) might be or other suggestions? As always, your help is greatly appreciated. Sylvain

Is that a good offer? What do you think?

I made a offer today on a 2006 brand new Kountry Star. It's a 37 footer with 2 slides on a W-24 Workhorse chassis. I didn't see the MSRP on the unit. The only price was on paper with the dealer's logo on it. Originaly he was asking $174 000. But today he was on sale at $150 000. I offer him $75 000 plus my actuel MH, a 1997 MountainAire 3780 with a Banks system, Bilsteins, and air on the 3 axels. I've got 30 000 miles on it. I am wating for a answer from the dealer. What do you think??

RE: Frozen House Batteries

Hi Atkron It's happen to me once. We leave Montreal to Florida in march with 2 house batteries totaly froze. We didn't know at the time of departure. The cold short the batteries. The engine alternator try to recharge the batteries all the way between Montreal and Miami. I think he work so hard that he died. Be careful it might cost you a alternator if you run for a extended period of time with frozen batteries. Sylvain

What transmission temp. gage do I need?

I want to install a transmission température gage on a Ford E4OD transmission. What is the best brand? What is the normal operating transmission oil temperature for a E4OD?

RE: Opinions & information needed - Tiffin Allegro Bay

If I have to change my motorhome right now, my first choice would be a Tiffin product. The second one, a Newmar product. :C
